If you’re a nonprofit, the next step after creating your account is to claim your organization. This allows you to unlock tools built specifically for nonprofits, connect with donors, and manage your projects.
What You’ll Need Before You Start
Before beginning the claim process, make sure you have the following:
The organization’s EIN (Tax ID)
An IRS-issued 501(c)(3) Determination Letter (PDF format)
Ability to prove defunding.
Make sure your documents are clear and up to date to avoid delays during verification.
How to Claim Your Charity
Follow these steps to submit your claim:
Step 1: Log in to Your Account
Go to your My Account dashboard after logging in.
Step 2: Select Claim a Charity
Under Your Charities, click on Claim a Charity.

Step 3: Request an Access Code
Select “Request an access code to claim your charity.”

Step 4: Upload the documentation
Enter your organization’s Tax ID (EIN) carefully.
Upload your IRS Determination Letter in PDF format.
Click on Submit.

You should see a confirmation message indicating that the file was received, which appears as a green pop-up in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
What Happens Next?
After submitting your claim:
We'll check that the claim documents match the information on IRS records.
It may take a few minutes up to a couple of days to land in your inbox.

The email we sent you has a claim code and a link. The link will take you to the claim page, where you need to enter the code.
After you enter the code on the claim page, you will be authorized to manage your nonprofit's account on our platform. This will allow you to launch projects so donors can support your work.
After Your Charity is Approved
Once your organization is verified, you can:
Manage your charity profile
Start receiving and tracking donations
Helpful Tip: To avoid delays in verification, double-check your EIN before submitting, upload a clear and legible PDF, and ensure your determination letter is valid and current.
